Please see information below on how to use the application. Hover over icons to see what each tool/widget does. If you have trouble viewing the map on a mobile device then tap expand icon on the right to enter fullscreen mode.
Click an area on the map and information about the features will display in a popup. If multiple features are there then the top layer info will show first. Click the list icon to see all of the features. Or browse multiple features with arrows. Feature information is also displayed in a list on the sidebar for a better view experience if you are using a larger screen or landscape orientation.
Zoom in or out by using + or - keys, clicking icons on the map, or using a mouse scroll wheel.
Click and drag in the direction you want to move/pan the map or use the arrow keys.
The home button on the map will pan and zoom back to the default view of the city extent.
Rotate the map with a mouse by holding right click and dragging the direction you want to orient it. Or use the A,D keys if you are not using a mouse. The compass on the map will point towards north. Click the compass to reset back to northern orientation or press N key.
See the scalebar at the bottom in metric or US survey units. It will adjust scaling to your zoom level.
Shows you the symbology of the map. Turn map symbols/layers on or off by clicking them. Expand group layers with arrows to view and toggle their sublayers. Some feature layers and their labels are not visible until you zoom in closer like addresses, tax lots, and parcels. These will show as grayed out. Not all layers are on by default and may also be grouped together to avoid overcrowding and loading issues.
Select an area on the map to query all features at the click location. All the results will show in a list. Select a feature in the list to view information.
Add a layer to the map using a mapping service URL. Only you can see the layers that you add, and they will reset once the app is refreshed. These layers will show up when you save or print.
Save the map as an image or document for printing. The map area will be set to your current view of the map by default. Advanced options will let you change the quality, map scale, and attribution. Add a legend or north arrow with the document templates.
